Mold Setter

Kohler is seeking a Mold Setter to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will install, align, and change injection molds and tools, set machine parameters, and perform start-ups to ensure quality parts. You'll troubleshoot molding issues, perform basic mechanical adjustments, and complete preventive maintenance on molds, cranes, and auxiliary equipment. The Mold Setter will read blueprints and setup sheets, document setups and production data, and collaborate with technicians, maintenance, and quality teams to improve safety, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and secure molds and tooling in molding machines using proper lifting and safety procedures
• Set and adjust machine parameters and auxiliary equipment for optimal part quality and cycle time
• Perform mold changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns according to standardized work and setup sheets
• Troubleshoot molding issues such as flash, shorts, burns, and dimensional defects with production and quality teams
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance and cleaning on molds, clamps, cranes, and support equipment
• Use measuring tools and visual inspection to verify part quality and document setup data
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operators to reduce downtime and improve processes
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and 5
• S standards in the molding area
