Building Resilience Through Service

The Children & Family Advocacy Center (CFAC) in Little Flock, AR, is dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by trauma by providing comprehensive services in a supportive and trauma‑informed environment. Our team works together to provide advocacy, mental health counseling, forensic interviewing, medical exams, and residential programming for women and children. We also have a full administrative team who oversees Operations, Development, and Community Relations.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening our community impact, we are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our Community Relations team. This role is essential to the success of our programs and offers the right candidate the opportunity to help build and sustain a strong network of volunteers who are vital to delivering our services.

Why This Role Matters:

In most cases, you will be the volunteer’s first point of contact at the Children & Family Advocacy Center. Your efforts will help shape a positive, engaged volunteer experience and increase our capacity to provide vital services to women and children impacted by trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Engagement & Support Provide ongoing guidance, support, and check‑ins for volunteers to ensure their success and retention. Foster a positive and inclusive environment where volunteers feel appreciated and empowered.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork Work closely with staff across departments to ensure the effective integration of volunteers into all aspects of CFAC programming, fostering a strong team‑oriented culture.
  • Project Coordination Work with CFAC staff and Project Managers to schedule and assign volunteers to various programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment between volunteer skills and project needs.
  • Recognition & Celebration Implement programs and events to recognize and celebrate the contributions of our volunteers, building a strong community and keeping volunteers engaged and motivated.
  • Record‑Keeping & Reporting Utilize volunteer management software (Bloomerang Volunteer) to track volunteer hours, activities, and impact. Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders to highlight volunteer engagement and program outcomes.
  • Community Outreach Represent the CFAC at community events to promote volunteer opportunities, build relationships with potential partners, and increase community awareness of our work.
Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail‑oriented, and passionate about making a difference. If you are a motivated self‑starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect role for you.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field. Certification or experience in volunteer management is a plus.
