Senior Pastor

Job Summary

As of June 13, 2026, South Side Baptist Church of Damascus, Arkansas is accepting resumes and inquiries for a full‑time senior pastor.

• Provide spiritual leadership and direction to all programs of the church.
• Supervise all staff members directly or by delegation; organize and lead all staff meetings.
• Collaborate with committees and the deacon body to recruit new members, assign duties, and address the physical and spiritual needs of members.
• Lead and encourage church members in spiritual growth and gospel spreading.
• Respond effectively to conflicts or issues within the church; maintain utmost confidentiality.
• Prepare and deliver public messages for Sunday morning and Sunday evening services, and Bible study instruction for Wednesday evening services.
• Guide and support all ministries of the church.
• Provide pastoral care to church members and families, including hospital visits, funeral services, and spiritual counseling.
• Represent the church in the community and attend sporting and community events.

• Male.
• Minimum education:
  
  Seminary preferred.
• Experience in pastorship, with knowledge of Scripture and the ability to provide spiritual and congregational guidance.
• Qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:6‑9.

Full‑time position, 40 hours per week. Regular office hours Monday‑Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Additional hours to include Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday night services, and pastoral care.

• Two weeks vacation annually following the first year.
• Up to two weeks revival time annually.
• Church supplies for vacation period covered.
