CNA Instructor – New Nurse Aide Program (Pending State Approval)

Searcy County School District North Central Career Center / Alternative Learning – Leslie, Arkansas.
Primary instructor qualifications:
Be a registered nurse that is currently licensed in Arkansas or licensed under a compact license, or holding a multistate privilege to practice if the registered nurse moves from a state that has joined the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact, Arkansas Code § 17‑87‑601 et seq., to Arkansas and meets all requirements for licensure in Arkansas. Must not be under any current disciplinary action by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, including probation, suspension, revocation, or voluntary surrender of license due to disciplinary action.
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of general nursing experience as a registered nurse, including at least one (1) year of long‑term care nursing services in a nursing facility setting within the last five (5) years. Nursing experience may include employment in a nursing assistant education program, a long‑term care facility or the supervision of nursing students in a long‑term care facility or unit, a geriatrics department (excluding geriatric psychiatry), or a long‑term acute care hospital (recuperative care), home care, hospice care, or other long‑term care setting.
Secondary or Additional instructor qualifications:
Be a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Must work under the general supervision of the primary instructor, who must be licensed in Arkansas and not subject to any current disciplinary action by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of long‑term care experience. All final skills check‑off reviews must be approved by the primary instructor.
