Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department
Location: Helena-West Helena

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in emergency care, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties
  • Assess and triage patients presenting to the Emergency Room, prioritizing care based on severity of conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
  • Provide airway management and support for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, including health coaching techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in an Emergency Room or critical care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of physiology, pediatrics, and tube feeding techniques is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the department.
