Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Paris Regional, a 154-bed hospital in Paris, Texas, part of Lifepoint Health, invites qualified RNs to contribute to exceptional patient care.

You will utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys daily with cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities
• Document patient care provided
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation)
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Patient populations served: neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, older adult.

Protected Health Information accessed: demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, complete medical record.

Exposure: occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens for all employees.

Physical requirements:

frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, repetitive hand/arm movements; regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, hazardous medications and latex.

• Current state RN license
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certification preferred
