Technician, Gardening

Job Summary

Overall role of gardening planning, maintenance, leading to ensure all trees and gardening flowers are healthy, orderly, and beautiful.

• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations
• Service all garden equipment and machinery to ensure they are well controlled
• Advise management on the costs of plants and garden necessities with detailed written quotations and reports
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and third parties by adhering to safety and health regulations
• Spray and treat plants to control disease or insects
• Examine plants and trees to determine their condition and decide appropriate treatment
• Initiate planting and bracing of trees as needed
• Other relevant tasks may be assigned by the Officer/Premises

• Demand for high commitment and accountability, potentially exceeding normal working hours
• Challenge to influence and deal with different personalities

• Education:
  
  Bachelor degree in Agriculture
• Experience:
  
  At least 1 year of proven experience in gardening/tree maintenance; experience in care of all plants
• Skills and knowledge:
  In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques
• Organizational and administrative skills (concern for order and attention to detail)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office)
• Good command of Khmer and English (writing, speaking, listening, and reading)
