Environmental Health, Safety & Security Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health, Safety & Security Specialist to lead, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs at our organization. In this impactful role, you will champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with environmental and security regulations while protecting our employees, assets, and facilities. Your expertise will directly influence our operational excellence and risk management initiatives.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute environmental health, safety, and security policies to meet regulatory standards and company objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, recommending corrective actions and process improvements.
- Deliver training and educational programs to promote employee awareness and compliance.
- Monitor workplace conditions and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and waste.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support emergency response planning and business continuity.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for regulatory compliance and internal reviews.
- Advise management on emerging safety trends and best practices.
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated experience conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Security Management, or related field.
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), or CPP (Certified Protection Professional).
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar management systems.
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
- Proficiency in incident management software and data analytics tools.
- Multilingual abilities and cross‑cultural communication skills.
Physical Requirements
This position is primarily based on‑site with occasional travel to other company locations or partner facilities (up to 10% of time). Physical requirements include the ability to conduct inspections in various facility areas, sometimes requiring climbing, walking, or lifting up to 25 lbs. Personal protective equipment may be required during site visits.
CompensationWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package as part of our Total Rewards. Pay is determined by performance, experience, skills, equity, and market factors. In addition to base pay, other compensation such as an annual bonus or long‑term incentive may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position$83,600 – $139,400
