Cafeteria Staff support daily food service operations by preparing meals, serving students, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring compliance with USDA and Arkansas Child Nutrition guidelines. This role is essential to providing safe, nutritious meals in a welcoming environment.

• Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch according to daily menus and portion guidelines.
  • Follow all USDA, ADE Child Nutrition, and district food safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, warmers, dishwashers, mixers, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas, and dining spaces.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries.
  • Record temperatures for food, coolers, freezers, and dish machines.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control requirements.
  • Assist with counting meals and completing daily production records.
  • Provide friendly, respectful service to students and staff.
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns to the Child Nutrition Director.
  • Support special dietary needs under direction of the Child Nutrition Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient meal service.
