Front of House - Dining

Position Type: Full-time or Part-time (20-35hrs a week)

We’re looking for an experienced, friendly, and professional Front of House Dining Team Member to join our team at The Star Inn, Waldron — a popular village pub known for its warm hospitality and seasonal, locally sourced food.

You’ll play a key part in delivering an outstanding guest experience from the moment they walk through the door. You’ll be confident with table service, setting up the dining area, and supporting the smooth running of each shift.

Provide warm, attentive service to guests, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience

Take food and drink orders accurately and communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar teams

Deliver table service professionally and efficiently, including running food, clearing plates, and checking guest satisfaction

Set up the dining room before service — laying tables, checking bookings, polishing cutlery, and preparing service stations

Manage your section during service with confidence and attention to detail

Support the Front of House team in coordinating the flow of service, including helping lead or oversee a shift when needed

Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming front-of-house environment throughout the shift

Follow all hygiene, safety, and licensing procedures

Experience in a similar table-service role (pub, bistro, or restaurant)

Friendly, calm, and professional with strong communication skills

Organised and efficient, with good attention to detail

A team player with a genuine interest in food, drink, and great service
