Location: Lansing

We are looking for a leader with an outgoing, energetic, positive, and friendly personality for the Assistant Manager position at our newest drive-thru only store! As a leader, you’ll help develop the culture in your store using our core values of integrity, love, humility, and courage as a guide. If coffee is new to you, don’t worry. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about leading a coffee store!

The Assistant Manager is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the General Manager in a variety of store operations duties. This position serves as a role model to the baristas and as the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Scooter’s “Amazing” customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques
  • Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
  • Assist the GM in onboarding and training new team members
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members
  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
  • Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
  • Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
  • Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability
  • Assist Store Manager with administrative duties
  • Assist with the management of labor, food, and other controllable costs within budget guidelines
