OVERVIEW

As a Specialist – Footwear at DICK’S Sporting Goods, you will deliver exceptional experiences by providing expert footwear guidance focused on fit, performance, and comfort. You will drive sales, support teammates, and create a personalized, athlete‑first experience in a fast‑paced retail environment built on teamwork and service.

• Deliver an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes, understanding their shopping needs, and providing accurate, knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as a subject matter expert, focusing on best practices, expectational selling skills, and key operational processes.
• Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete‑first mindset, ensuring products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote and drive customer participation in company programs such as loyalty program, warranty sales, and private‑label credit card enrollment.
• Create a store environment where teammates and athletes are always welcome and treated with respect while adhering to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer‑facing experience preferred.
