Garvan Woodland Gardens, a 210-acre botanical garden situated on a peninsula surrounded by scenic Lake Hamilton located in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a skilled and dedicated Visitor Services Cashier.
The Visitor Services Cashier will be responsible for greeting guests, checking in guests, taking funds, and balancing the point of sale system s position will also serve as a guest docent by driving golf cart tours and giving a scripted explanation of the garden spaces. This team member will be expected to work well with others and ensure a positive guest experience.
Part-time, up to 32 hours a week, including weekends and nights during Holiday Lights (mid-November thru Dec 31). Visitor Services Cashier is a part-time, temporary position limited to the 1250-hour University of Arkansas policy. The campus is a non-smoking facility. This position requires a valid driver's license. Some night and weekend work will be required seasonally. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Customer Service Experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Background Checks
Required:
Criminal Background Check, Motor Vehicle Reports Check, Sex Offender Registry, Financial Background Check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience collecting money for payment
- Experience taking funds and balancing point of sale systems
Hourly pay $12.50-$14.00 based on experience
