JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative supports revenue growth across Spectrum Control’s RF, microwave, and electronic component solutions by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing the full sales support lifecycle. This role engages both new and existing customers within aerospace, defense, and high‑reliability commercial markets, promoting technical products and capabilities while collaborating closely with outside sales, engineering, product management, and global sales teams.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for qualifying and advancing sales opportunities, managing inbound and outbound leads, and ensuring timely, accurate communication with customers. This role requires a proactive, technically oriented sales approach and the ability to navigate complex customer requirements and specifications.

COMPENSATION RANGE

$60,000‑$75,000 Annually.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Proactively manage and grow assigned accounts, including small‑order and tail‑spend customers, by reviewing purchase history, identifying future program needs, and generating new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calling and targeted account research, to develop new business within aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads from marketing, product management, and other channels; assess technical and commercial viability and advance or assign opportunities appropriately.
  • Collaborate with outside sales, global sales teams, and distribution partners to support key accounts and drive coordinated account strategies.
  • Interpret customer technical requirements, including specifications and drawings, and provide appropriate product recommendations and application guidance.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations, including complex pricing proposals aligned with business strategy and customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by promoting Spectrum Control’s capabilities, recommending new or complementary products, and clearly communicating technical features and benefits.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the RF/electronics space to identify opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Manage and maintain an active pipeline within CRM, ensuring accurate documentation of customer interactions, opportunities, forecasts, and follow‑up actions.
  • Provide responsive and professional support for customer inquiries, including pricing, lead times, technical questions, and escalations.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and product management to ensure alignment on customer requirements and successful order execution.
  • Continuously develop product, industry, and application knowledge related to RF, microwave, and electronic components.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales support, customer service, or related commercial roles within a B2B environment
  • Experience working with CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product information
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in RF, microwave, electronics manufacturing, or related technical industries (aerospace/defense preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web‑based tools
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and close sales opportunities
  • Familiarity with pricing strategies and quoting in a technical manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in ITAR/EAR‑regulated environments is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This role may be performed in‑office, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity, depending on business needs and location.
  • Employees in this role may support programs and customers within ITAR/EAR‑regulated environments and must be eligible to access export‑controlled information.
