Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for those entering the Remington Ammunition site, including regulatory officials and law enforcement.
• Direct those unfamiliar with the site to their destination and follow established protocols to elevate issues.
• Make foot and/or vehicle‑assisted rounds and perform compliance inspections under environmental, safety, and security programs.
• Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and badge‑reading equipment.
• Act as emergency coordinators and first responders to significant spills or environmental incidents.
• Watch for spills, leaks, fires, theft, and vandalism.
• Check gates to ensure they are closed and/or locked when appropriate.
• Respond to accidents, emergencies, and crisis situations.
• Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents on site.
• Check badges of employees accessing the plant.
• Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees entering and exiting the plant.
• Warn violators and document infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to pass background checks for unsupervised access to explosives (Employee Possessor).
• Ability to work under stressful conditions.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work alternate work schedules as needed.
• Experience in using and maintaining physical security systems.
• Training in threat response within 90 days of employment.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR within 6 months of hire.
• Certification in fire extinguisher use within 90 days of employment.
• Certification as an 8‑hour HAZMAT responder within six months of employment.
• Preferably holds a two‑year technical diploma in law enforcement or similar.
• Preferably has one year or more of prior security field experience.
• Preferably has a prior law enforcement or military background.
• Must comply with ITAR/EAR regulations: applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or able to obtain required authorizations.
• Must meet Gun Control Act restrictions regarding possession of firearms and ammunition.

Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $23.37. The actual annual salary offered will be based on variables such as experience, geographic location, education, and skills. Salary is mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
