A Security Officer II ensures a safe, secure, and friendly environment by enforcing security policies and safeguarding Kohler Co. and the Kohler brand. The role involves identifying risks, maintaining security processes, responding to incidents, and limiting exposure in financial, physical, and personnel areas.

• Perform all functions of a Security Officer I without direction.
• Acquire working knowledge of the Global Security Operations Center.
• Patrol buildings, grounds, and sites by vehicle and on foot; circulate among visitors and associates to preserve order and protect property.
• Respond to incidents; evaluate, prioritize, and communicate assistance needs.
• Use the Security Department’s computerized incident software, telephones, and multi‑channel radio.
• Operate alarm systems; determine appropriate responses for emergencies and non‑emergencies.
• Identify security equipment issues and notify for repair.
• Manage access control to maintain high security efficiently.
• Proactively deter crime with a visible security presence.
• Coordinate special assignments during emergencies or as requested by management.
• Support minor investigations as requested.

• Submit daily activity reports and incident reports to Corporate Security Supervision.
• Establish and maintain courteous and effective working relationships.
• Maintain emotional control and work effectively during emergencies and stressful conditions.

• Multi‑task, organize, prioritize, adapt to changing situations, and take appropriate action.
• Represent Kohler Co. and Corporate Security professionally.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Work a flexible and irregular schedule, including holidays, weekends, and extended shifts.
• Seek guidance on new situations and offer ideas for handling them.
• Ensure actions and behaviors are consistent with words.
• Display initiative by patrolling facilities when time permits.
• Assist others without prior direction.
• Evaluate situations and volunteer solutions with consideration of implications.
• Obtain working knowledge of the property and visitor management program.
• Operate security equipment safely and respectfully at all times.
• Stay alert, focused, and safety conscious.

• Transport emergency medical equipment (~50 lbs) between vehicle and emergency scene.
• Ascend and descend fixed or portable ladders to access roofs and other areas in emergencies.
• Be certified and capable of performing CPR unassisted and operating an AED.
• Provide clear verbal instructions to others during emergencies.
• Legally operate a passenger automobile or light truck.
• Sit or stand for extended periods as necessary.

• High school diploma or general education degree; two‑year college degree preferred (Police Science, Criminal Justice, Police Administration, or Liberal Arts).
• Law‑enforcement, industrial security, or Military Police experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain or obtain first aid and CPR certifications.

Hourly rate $19.65 – $29.45 plus tips/gratuity. Benefits begin on day one with no waiting period.
