The Maintenance Technician position at R&R Solutions is an excellent entry-level opportunity designed for individuals eager to develop their mechanical skills under the guidance of a seasoned Fleet Mechanic. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing essential operational support, which includes performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, and cleaning duties like washing and vacuuming vehicles.

You will also assist mechanics with various tasks, ensuring a well‑organized and safe work environment. On a typical day, you might find yourself executing preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, mastering the proper handling and disposal of oils and hydraulic fluids, keeping specialized diagnostic tools organized, and ensuring the shop floor remains free of hazards.

To excel, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude, ideally with over one year of related experience. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. You must have the ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs, with the capacity to manage heavier loads (50‑75 lbs) with assistance. This role requires continuous physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and crawling in and around commercial vehicles.

Excellent hand‑eye coordination for using precision tools is mandatory.

The role is primarily in a repair shop with exposure to loud noises and temperature extremes. You will have frequent exposure to grease, oil, dirt, fuels, and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, and hearing protection, is required.
