This role is based on Disney's private island in the Bahamas.

As Maintenance Technician – Electrician / IT, you will perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment. You will operate a variety of equipment and machinery including saws, drill presses and hand/power tools. You will also interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches and work orders to perform maintenance activities. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical systems, including hot water heaters, and boilers, walk-in coolers / freezers, under counter refrigeration, ice machines, and all electrical components related to outboards, engines, and wave runners.

You will report to the Assistant Manager – Island General Maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and provide maintenance in all phases of electrical equipment on the island
• Install and maintain industrial, residential, and commercial electrical equipment and systems, including CCTV and register elements
• Install and configure computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems
• Promote a safe work environment;
  Comply with the safety competencies and all company policies
• May provide lateral service to other departments

• Legally authorized to work in The Bahamas
• 3 or more years electrician experience;
  Diploma or certificate supporting training as an electrician, Computer Science or Information Technology
• Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and materials common to the electrician trade
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrician trade
• Experience using trade tools to troubleshoot complex electrical problems including multi meter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, other tools
• Estimate time and material needs
• This is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms and working in confined spaces
