We perform over 84 million utility locates annually for numerous telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities across the nation. We're searching for problem solvers who take pride in ensuring public safety and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. No previous locating experience is necessary, but we welcome applications from experienced locators!

Responsibilities
  • Safely and accurately locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
  • Thoroughly investigate designated areas for underground utilities, marking their locations, completing necessary documentation, and capturing photographs of each locate.

This is a full-time, daytime position. With a 48-hour turnaround on many locates, you will typically work the day after holidays and some weekends as needed. Flexibility for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends) is essential based on business needs.

Requirements
  • A willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; previous outdoor experience is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Availability for overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts as necessary.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, as this position is safety-sensitive.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to distinguish between colors related to utility identification and marking.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding locate tickets, maps, and prints.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
