Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, calibration and troubleshooting of PLC, Radars, controls and ancillary devices installed on plant control systems. Install, maintain, repair electrical wiring, and switch boxes, motor starters, conduits, feeders, transformers, generators, and other electrical components. Conduct preventive maintenance program and keep maintenance records. This Role requires an above average of mechanical knowledge and ability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for the setup, changeovers, and efficient operation of production equipment.

2. Must perform all electrical work to NEC code or better.

3. Must be able to trouble shoot electrical equipment with or without blueprints.

4. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of cathodic protection systems, motor starters, compressors and VFD, while following our safety procedures such as LOTO.

5. Assist other technicians and crafts in installations and maintenance activities

Including working well with other plant personnel in order to maintain and repair plant equipment.

6. Performs timely maintenance checks and preventive maintenance. (Process Safety Management experience a plus)

7. Job will require some weekend and night call outs, heavy lifting and walking long distances.

8. Experience in reading and interpreting loop sheets, P&IDs and electrical one line.

9. Should be able to Perform Quality control inspections on all third party contractors.

10. Monitoring contract personnel and work performed by others in terminal areas to be conducted in a safe manner.

11. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

12. Work independently with a minimum amount of direct supervision on routine duties.

13. Receives direction from Maintenance supervisor on non-routine tasks.

14. Directs unusual problems or discrepancies to supervisor.

15. Applies standard procedures and follows plant codes, and able to operates a variety of equipment. Position requires a high level of close mental and visual attention.

16. I&E personnel must have mechanical aptitude; knowledge of product flows, and troubleshooting skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have High school diploma or GED.

2. Must have electrical license, NACE,

3. Minimum 4 years' experience

4. Must have TWIC card or be approved.
