3rd Shift - Maintenance Generalist; MG-MG- Waldron Maintenance

Job Details

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The incumbent will monitor equipment during production, making any necessary repairs or adjustments, and documenting all corrections. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, rebuilding equipment as required, assisting with installation of new equipment, manually greasing, changing oil, and cleaning plant equipment, monitoring equipment and computer boards, and troubleshooting mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.

• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to reach, lift, and work overhead.
• Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of the shift.
• Must have good hand‑eye coordination.
• Must tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and from very wet to very dry.
• Must be able to communicate and work well with others.
• Must work with devices that are fragile and require precise attention.
• Must comply with OSHA standards and understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.
• Saturday and Sunday work may be required.
• Will work closely with other maintenance personnel to receive and pass along work information.
• Capable of moving equipment or machinery weighing more than 40 lbs when necessary.
• Must be able to work on and inspect equipment, which may involve bending and turning.
• Must move freely throughout the plant over and around equipment, people, and obstacles.
• Minimum of 6 months of maintenance or mechanical experience.
