Fertigation Tech II

The Fertigation Tech II position is a technical role focused on manual irrigations and automated irrigation system basics. This role acts as a middle ground for the department, introducing more technical skills and knowledge with higher accountability tasks.

• Assists in training for new employees and ensures staff are following proper protocol to meet company standards.
• Performs all Tech I tasks as needed.
• Assesses and irrigates any plants requiring manual feeds.
• Monitors, maintains and responds to plant health for manually fed plants, as well as fulfilling goals such as runoff % and dry down %.
• Mixes stock solution tanks accurately for the automated irrigation system.
• Assesses automated system performance and assist supervisor with adjustments related to the irrigation system.
• Collects water samples for lab analysis and performs in-house water sample tests.
• Initiates irrigations via the automated irrigation system in limited circumstances.
• Performs work in adherence to biosecurity & safety protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge.
• State/Federal background checks required.
• Understands and adheres to SOP’s for specialized areas.
• Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of fertigation department processes and procedures.
• 6 months+ of fertigation experience in a licensed cannabis facility strongly preferred.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
• The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
• The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions.
• The ability to work in low light situations.
• Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity.
• Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals.
• Must be able to go up and down a ladder repeatedly.
