Help
Responsible for maintaining the specialized lock and dam equipment, and more typically, building and grounds, equipment systems, and facilities.
Performs journeyman level maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems at a high lift lock and dam facility.
Inspects, adjusts, lubricates, tests, installs, calibrates, and/or performs major and minor repairs at regularly scheduled intervals.
Performs and participates in a variety of diagnostic inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs of associated lock and dam appurtenances.
Maintain project administrative maintenance records in connection with all preventive maintenance and repairs for project mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, mobile land plant, floating plant and inventory management.
Inspects, troubleshoots, and/or rebuilds electric motors, diesel and gasoline engines of associated equipment at the facility (large mobile cranes, construction type equipment, bulkhead hoists, generators, hydraulic pumps, air compressors, etc.).
Directs vessels approach and entry into the lock chamber.
May be assigned as a primary credit cardholder responsible for purchasing parts, materials and supplies for project operation and maintenance requirements.
