OverviewThe Harrisburg Juvenile Treatment Center is dedicated to providing at-risk young females with a comprehensive, trauma-responsive program that fosters personal and academic growth. The Center’s mission is to empower young women to become resilient adults by offering resources for academic, vocational, and emotional development.
PayPay
: $17.75 - $18.82 per hour based on education and experience. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period. Eligible for a $1,000 bonus upon completion of Essential Skills Training.
A Direct Juvenile Support Worker provides in-person safety and security around the clock.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing for the physical, personal, and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development.
- Creating a supportive environment for the youth’s needs; monitoring and documenting behaviors and activities.
- Participating and assisting with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
- Collaborating with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age 21.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
- Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
