Juvenile Support Worker

Overview

The Harrisburg Juvenile Treatment Center provides a trauma-responsive program for at-risk young females, supporting personal and academic growth. The facility aims to empower residents to build skills for a successful future and to foster education, personal development, and second chances.

• Provide in-person safety and security around the clock.
• Address the physical, personal, and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development.
• Create a supportive atmosphere for the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities.
• Participate in educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities with residents.
• Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB tests
• Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry

4 days per week, 10-hour shifts. A Shift – Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, 7:00 AM–9:00 PM. B Shift – Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 7:00 AM–9:00 PM.

Pay: $17.75 – $18.82 per hour based on education and experience. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime per pay period.
