Job Summary
We are seeking Visual Flight Rules (VFR) pilots to operate company aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. The pilot will maintain safe and efficient operations, monitor weather forecasts, conduct preflight inspections, document discrepancies, notify maintenance, and ensure readiness for duty.
Key Responsibilities- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently.
- Comply with all applicable regulations and manuals.
- Monitor weather forecasts and adjust operations accordingly.
- Conduct preflight inspections before each flight or transport.
- Record discrepancies in the engineering log, notify maintenance, and track corrective actions.
- Maintain readiness for duty on a 7/7 schedule.
- 2000 total flight hours.
- 1500 helicopter flight hours.
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command.
- 500 hours turbine flight time.
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided.
- Previous HAA experience or equivalent (preferred).
- Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Commercial Certificate.
- Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Instrument Rating.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maximum 230‑pound weight limit while wearing flight suit and boots.
- Upload valid Pilot License and FAA Medical Certificate upon application.
Starting salary range: $88,759 – $97,635, with up to a 35% geographic modifier. Sign‑on bonus of $15K and retention bonus of $40K after three years. 24‑hour base housing provided at all locations.
