About this opportunity
TheCDL Trainer is responsible for training drivers to produce the highest quality safe drivers. TheCDL Trainer works with drivers both in the classroom and on the road, teaching them to operate a vehicle safely on the driving range as well as on public roads.
Pay and ScheduleThis position is Monday - Friday, day shift. The pay range is $50,000 - $55,000/year dependent on experience.
How you will contribute to the success of the team- Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction.
- Monitor driver progress and provide additional assistance as necessary.
- Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.
- Manage driver behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.
- Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year verifiable OTR type Class A experience in the last 3 years or 1 year experience as a Class A CDL Instructor.
- Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment skills test.
- Valid Class A CDL License.
- Clean MVR and background.
- Be able to perform duties of over-the-road, basic skills and classroom instruction as assigned.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by applicable state regulations.
