Job Location: Cash‑Wa Kearney - Kearney, NE 68845
Salary Range: $18.00 - $24.00 Hourly
Job Shift: Day Shift (8am-5pm), Monday‑Friday
Provide entry level support to the logistics department with significant data entry that is critical to the operation. Support daily operation of logistics to acquire control of inbound freight at less than delivered prices, enhance bottom line and recover Over, Short, & Damaged (OSD) on a daily basis. Solve practical problems and deliver solutions that contribute to business growth. Handle concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Communicate daily with buyers, fleet dispatcher, and vendors. Work as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty to best serve the company.
Work schedule:
Monday – Friday daytime hours.
- Assist the Logistics Manager as needed with duties such as reviewing top 100 managed vendors every 6 months and all vendors annually to verify pickup information and rates.
- Complete daily and weekly billing for logistics and outside vendors and help maintain a receivable ledger.
- Prepare billing of freight on all loads hauled by the company as outside trucks along with running review reports.
- Initiate investigations into causes of damages or shortages in consignments or overcharges for freight or insurance.
- Manage all logistics OSD to control cost with inventory control.
- Research, complete, and maintain logistics profiles on all vendors.
- Perform all aspects of computer entry and file maintenance in TMS
200 transportation management system. - Update Foodstar system with logistics related information.
- Invoice all logistics loads and apply appropriate unloading charges.
- Export loads daily.
- Generate daily and weekly profitability reports.
- Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field helpful.

Experience:
Logistics, transportation, supply chain management or related experience helpful. Proven experience working directly with transportation carriers or managing freight operations helpful. Ability to secure optimal carrier contracts and maintain strong partnerships helpful. Proficiency in analyzing transportation costs, performance metrics, and logistics data helpful. Familiarity with transportation laws and compliance standards helpful. Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or other logistics software helpful. - Licenses and
Certifications:
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is helpful. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is helpful.
