Shuttle Driver – Romark

Job Location:

Barling, AR 72923

Salary Range: $32.50 per hour

Shift Availability

Weekend:
Saturday – Monday, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am

Tuesday: 6:00 pm – 12:00 am

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
  • Follow all DOT rules and regulations.
  • Perform minor repairs to trucks/trailers to keep equipment running during the shift.
  • Add fluids to maintain trucks without assistance.
  • Fuel trailers as needed on the yard.
  • Operate refrigerated trailers.
  • Communicate with other drivers and work with irregular schedules.
  • Work mandatory weekend overtime.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and carry out assigned tasks.
  • Report equipment problems to the fleet coordinator.
  • Collaborate with other departments to accomplish tasks.
  • Operate material handling equipment to pick and load trucks during off‑shift orders.
  • Adjust the Yard Management System to display trailer movements during the shift.
  • Move trailers for loading/unloading and haul them over public roadways.

Qualifications
  • High school education or GED preferred.
  • Class A CDL.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a truck driving role with a proven track record of similar duties.
  • Experience driving both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to safety, record keeping, logging, and inspections.
  • Basic ability to use a tablet computer and software applications.
  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
