Automotive Warranty Claims Assistant (Finance)

Arlington Heights Ford‑Tasca Auto is seeking a Part‑time Automotive Warranty Claims Assistant for our rapidly expanding Service Department and Ford Pro Truck Center. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing and management of warranty claims. The ideal candidate will assist the Warranty Administrator with reviewing, completing, and submitting accurate warranty claims. Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in automotive warranty administration as well as excellent accounting skills.

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on warranty claims.
• Process warranty paperwork, ensuring proper documentation and following required factory criteria.
• Knowledgeable on the manufacturer warranty policies and procedures manual.
• Review warranty paperwork for completion and accuracy.
• Stays aware and on top of factory recalls and announcements.
• Reviews returned and rejected warranty claims and prepares the repair orders for immediate appeal.
• Maintain records of claims submitted, returned, rejected, and/or paid.
• Keeps track of warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed.
• Follow up on outstanding claims.
• Reconcile warranty receivables.
• Provide weekly reports to the Service Director regarding claim status.
• Other tasks as assigned by Warranty Administrator.
