Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are seeking a full‑time Pediatric Dental Assistant to join a premier pediatric dental practice in Arlington Heights, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring a positive, comfortable experience for pediatric patients. This role involves hands‑on clinical support and patient education in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.
Base Pay Range$40,000 per year – $42,000 per year
Responsibilities- Prepare pediatric patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort throughout visits
- Assist dentists during procedures by maintaining a clean, dry oral field and handing instruments as needed
- Sterilize, organize, and prepare dental instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental x‑rays and intraoral photographs as required
- Educate patients and parents on procedures, treatment plans, and oral hygiene
- Support all aspects of clinical dental care in a pediatric setting
- Chairside dental assisting
- Pediatric patient care
- Dental x‑rays and imaging
- Instrument sterilization and setup
- Patient education and communication
- Coronal polishing
- Pit and fissure sealants
- Experience in pediatric dentistry
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience (Required)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Experience working with children
- Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred)
- Coronal Polishing & Pit/Fissure Sealants Certifications (Preferred)
