Emergency Services Care Assistant-Unit Secretary (Days)

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.;
Every other weekend

Pay: $18.84 – $27.32 per hour (rate varies by experience and qualifications)

• Report to the ED Manager and support Emergency Department and Treatment Center nursing and medical staff in patient care delivery.
• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, performing technical and medical procedures not governed by licensure.
• Assist, under direction, unit environmental aides to ensure supply availability and perform clerical, stocking, and cleaning duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Nursing student with six months of clinical experience (field experience may be waived for current NCH employees).
• Emergency Department Technician with at least two years’ experience in a comparable institution.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
