Director of Nursing

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Contract Director of Nursing to provide clinical and regulatory oversight on a non-full-time, contracted basis. This role will support agency compliance, quality standards, and a small patient census, with only a limited number of patient visits expected each year. This is a contract opportunity and is not a full-time position.

The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience, sound clinical judgment, and a working knowledge of home health regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities Regulatory compliance:
Oversee adherence to state nursing board requirements, agency licensing standards, and applicable federal and state healthcare regulations.

Clinical oversight:
Review nursing practices, care plans, and documentation to support quality care and patient safety standards.

Licensing maintenance:
Support credentialing, renewals, and compliance audit preparation to help maintain the agency’s active licensure.

Limited patient care:
Provide oversight and care for a small number of patients annually; this role does not involve a high-volume patient caseload.

Collaboration:

Work with agency leadership and compliance staff to address compliance needs and maintain operational standards.

Requirements Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing program; master’s degree preferred.

Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
3–5 years of hands-on patient care experience.
3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, such as RN Supervisor, RN Manager, Charge Nurse, Unit Supervisor, or Shift Supervisor.

Home health leadership experience preferred.

Experience supporting or managing healthcare compliance requirements.

Compensation Structure This is a contract role and is not a salaried, full-time position.

Compensation includes a fixed fee for ongoing Director of Nursing responsibilities and agency oversight.

Separate per-visit compensation is provided for patient care visits, as applicable.#office
