Food Service Worker

Assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Full-Time (1st Shift)

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare daily reports that verify transactions.
• Understand meal inclusions and ensure accurate food storage.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies, and procedures.
• Use and care for kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Prepare a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Collaborate with the manager to accurately prepare the daily menu.
• Ensure food temperature requirements are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, and ware washing to maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including other areas in the kitchen.
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing; uniforms and PPE may be required.

• Food Service Certificate (as needed).
• Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
