Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Maintain a professional appearance, wear designated dress standards, radio and earpiece; stand at the front of the store and remain vigilant
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and a confident greeting to promote a sense of control and security
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft
• Engage with customers and associates in line with company core values, demonstrating command presence and positive interaction
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty as identified
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to mitigate theft and support safe shopping

• Possess knowledge of top shortage areas and programs aimed at theft reduction
• Communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies; collaborate with the Manager on Duty
• Conduct bag and package checks on store associates, ensuring safety and security standards
• Understand the role in keeping the store and assets safe and secure

• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes
• Model safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor the store environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to review, analyze and comprehend business trends
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with disciplined decision making
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers; strong leadership skills for fostering productive relationships

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
