Position: Grade 1 Long Term Elementary Teacher Sub (May-June)

Overview

The Arlington Public Schools is accepting applications from applicants interested in teaching in our District Elementary Schools.

Candidates for elementary teaching positions must be appropriately licensed for the position. Candidates must also be collaborative professionals who will work with grade level teams and regular and special educators throughout the School and District. Must love working with children and be willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. In addition, Arlington expects teachers to work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District's approved curriculum for all subjects.

Candidates for this position who also have an English as a Second Language license will be strongly preferred. Arlington has a well established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. Arlington values diversity. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate appropriate state licensing for the elementary teaching position.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams and regular and special educators across the School and District.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom.
  • Work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District's approved curriculum for all subjects.
  • Preference for candidates with an English as a Second Language license.
  • Participate in Arlington’s induction program with mentoring throughout the school year.
Qualifications
  • Must hold appropriate licensure for elementary teaching.
  • Collaborative professional who works well with grade-level teams and other educators.
  • Ability and willingness to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
  • Commitment to implementing the District's curriculum for all subjects.
  • ESL license is strongly preferred.
  • Interest in contributing to a diverse and inclusive environment.
