Job DescriptionThe Student Services Department is accepting applications for summer employment in the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The role involves delivering small‑group reading instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
Extended School Year Structure- July 6 through July 24, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- One‑week break July 27–30.
- August 3 to August 13, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Provide targeted intervention in small groups based on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with ESY staff to support student progress.
- Attend a one‑hour planning session before the end of the school year.
- Develop and submit personal schedule by June 5, 2026.
- Collect regular data toward existing IEP goals and report in “Summer Summaries.”
- Maintain daily attendance records.
- Complete all student summer performance reports by the last day of the program, file and mail copies, and upload into EasyIEP.
- Combine performance reports into a single document for parents and district file, and upload into the student electronic file.
- Certified in Orton‑Gillingham and/or Wilson methodology.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Preschool students:
Menotomy (12 Mill Brook Drive) - K-4 and incoming Grade K:
Pierce - Grades 5-7:
Gibbs - Grades 8-11: AHS
Full‑Time
Salary$204.15 per day, paid for each instructional day.
