Position:
Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Bachelor’s Degree;
Master’s Degree preferred. - MA Certification in Speech and Language.
- Ability to offer a variety of services and complete assessments.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
To deliver a variety of services in speech and language and complete assessments for the purpose of educational planning.
Performance Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic services to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and delays, both individually and in group settings for elementary school students.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and implement treatment plans in relation to student needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy that integrates the student’s program.
- Serve as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services.
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
- Responsible for goal writing for IEPs.
- Keep thorough records of the individual students receiving services.

Reports ToSpecial Education Coordinator and Building Principal.
Salary and BenefitsSalary and benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. The salary schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on education and experience.
Arlington has a well-established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the school year will be August 31, 2026. New staff are required to attend several days of orientation and training during the last two weeks of August.
