Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic services to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and delays, both individual and group, for elementary school students.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and implement treatment plans in relation to student needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy that integrates students' programs.
  • Serve as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
  • Write goals for IEPs.
  • Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, with Master's Degree preferred.
  • MA Certification in Speech and Language.
  • Ability to offer variety of services and complete assessments.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Salary and benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. Arlington has a well‑established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year.
