Job Description

Position:
Middle School English Teacher – Long Term Substitute (August 31 – approx. November 23, 2026). The Arlington Public Schools are accepting applications from candidates interested in teaching Grade 7 English at Ottoson Middle School.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Grade 7 English following the District’s approved curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with department, school‑level, regular and special educators.
  • Work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District’s curriculum.
  • Engage in two‑way partnerships with families and contribute to student success.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate teaching license for the position.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
