Job Title
Arlington Public Schools seeks a 1.0 FTE long-term substitute teacher of Grade 6 French at Gibbs School, starting immediately through November 6, 2026.
Job DescriptionCandidates should have advanced oral proficiency in French and demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English. Candidates should have knowledge of research-based effective world language pedagogy including the ACTFL World-Readiness for Language Learning Standards. Candidates should be able demonstrate use of a variety of materials and modes of instruction, incorporating authentic resources, and be adept with technology. Effective techniques for classroom management and developing relationships with students are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues and community members.
Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching licensure, Foreign Language [French], Grades 5-12, is preferred.
