Purpose Statement:
Seeking a motivated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining refrigeration systems, steam boilers, HVAC systems, and related equipment.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes:

  • Monitors and maintains refrigeration equipment including all components and associated glycol systems.
  • Monitors, adjusts, and documents ammonia system pressures and temperatures.
  • Monitors and maintains steam boilers, HVAC systems, and related equipment.
  • Utilizes CMMS (SAP) to complete work orders and document information.
  • Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed and the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance are promoted.
  • Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Support Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) at the facility.

Knowledge, Skills, and

Experience:

  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts, required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent, required.
  • 2-year degree in refrigeration or related field, required.
  • 4-5 years of experience with Ammonia refrigeration, required.
  • EPA Certification for handling refrigerants, preferred.
  • PSM Trained, preferred
  • Operator 1, 2 trained - Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and plumbing components.
  • Ability to read and interpret pressure/temperatures charts.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Ability to use a multimeter and refrigeration gauges.
  • Familiarity with PSM programs, preferred.
  • Experience using computer systems including CMMS and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English;
    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals.
