What You'll Do- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture medical devices, prototype devices, tooling, and test equipment.
- Perform machine setup, operation, and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor machine performance and make approved program adjustments to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Inspect tooling for sharpness and usability to maximize productivity and prevent equipment damage.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections in partnership with Quality Assurance.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore gauges
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate production concerns proactively.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, labor, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, supervisors, and product development teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Assist with tooling selection, equipment evaluations, and vendor interactions when needed.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
