This position is located in the West Tennessee Regional Office Division.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Experience equivalent to four years of increasingly responsible and skilled full-time heating and refrigeration mechanical work.
Substitution of Education for
Experience:
110 clock hours of coursework at trade, technical, or vocational school in heating and/or air conditioning/refrigeration mechanics may be substituted for one month of the required experience with a maximum substitution of 18 months.
Necessary Special
Qualifications:
- A valid vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.
- Some positions require applicants to be certified with an EPA Universal Certification under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act.
Examination Method:
Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions.
Overview
This position will be responsible for performing routine HVAC maintenance and emergency repairs.
Responsibilities
- Routine filter changes on air handlers, package units, and furnaces.
- Seasonal cleaning condenser coils, evaporator coils, and drain lines.
- Performing system analysis to ensure operational parameters are within manufacturers specifications.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
- (Other duties may include basic landscaping, plumbing, or electrical task)

TN Driver Standards
State of Tennessee positions that may involve driving responsibilities require candidates to meet the following minimum driver qualifications:
