Senior Accountant

A growing distribution and manufacturing organization is seeking a highly analytical Senior Accountant to support a complex, multi‑entity accounting environment. This is a hands‑on role with heavy exposure to reconciliations, Excel‑based analysis, intercompany activity, and public‑company processes. • Assist with month‑end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries related to AR, AP, inventory, and accrued expenses
• Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts and supporting subledgers
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support vendor rebate filings, tracking, and reconciliations
• Prepare cost trend and performance analyses across branches and entities
• Analyze profitability and performance at the branch and entity level
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Support internal controls, policies, and public‑company reporting requirements
• Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects tied to growth and system integration
• Deep dive into accounting systems and data to troubleshoot and resolve issues

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
  Bachelor’s preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong reconciliation and general ledger background
• Experience in multi‑entity and intercompany accounting environments
• Distribution or manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Public company experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, heavy data analysis)
