Accounting Services Manager
The Accounting Services Manager provides Director of Accounting assistance with managing the financial activities and accounting functions of Student Accounting, General Accounting, including supervision of Accounting Staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Review cash balancing and reconciliations of cash and cash equivalents received by the University through student accounting systems.
- Responsible for reconciliation of student accounts receivable.
- Responsible for balancing all transactions processed in Student Accounting Office.
- Review and approve daily accounting entries prepared by Accounting Spec and Accountant II.
- Responsible for preparing and reconciling escheatment data and related responsibilities.
- Assist Bursar and departments with cash handling procedures and processing issues.
- Responsible for student refund payment process and payment distribution.
- Assist with providing support for reconciling items on bank statements.
- Verify accounting set up for student receivable item types in student accounting system.
- Assist in periodic testing for Campus Solutions system updates and processes.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years’ experience in accounting, at least one (1) year supervisory experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in account and bank reconciliations, and journal entry preparation and approval using Peoplesoft accounting software. Excel and university experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Accounting, internal control, adept in policies and procedures, time management.
