Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are adding a Full Time Staff Accountant to our team to help address growth in our client base and demand for services. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in public accounting, working in both income tax preparation and bookkeeping / financial statements.

• Reviewing and organizing client tax documents and information
• Preparing individual, partnership, S Corporation, and C Corporation tax returns
• Performing monthly accounting activities, including reviewing ledgers, reconciling account activity, and making month end adjusting entries
• Involvement with audit engagements and limited review engagements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2 to 4 years of experience with a public accounting firm
• A strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial statement presentation
• An understanding of federal taxation concepts
• Strong analytical and organization skills, and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
• Proficient in Quick Books
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to analyze issues, perform research and demonstrate critical thinking to apply recommendations
