Work Hours: Must be available Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-7:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm (fall and spring);
Monday-Wednesday, 7:30 am-7:00 pm, Thursday 8:30 am-7:00 pm. Also required to work occasional weekends in January and August.
Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work
Special Instructions to Applicant: This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 19.5 hrs. per week.
Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing administrative, computer, and customer service skills in the performance of a variety of duties to maintain accounting records and reports.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with all Higher One customer service‑related issues, such as assisting students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone, or by email.
- Process payments, petty cash, and miscellaneous deposits; balance cash drawers.
- Correspond with payment plan companies and collection agencies to maintain current and past tuition and miscellaneous accounts.
- Compute and record charges and refunds; may assist with refunds, collections, student allocation of military benefits, and 1098T inquiries.
- Distribute employee timecards and paychecks.
- Distribute and receive keys from faculty, staff, and administrators; receive lost and found items and distribute claimed items.
Service Excellence
- Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually, and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.
- Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC).
- Support the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College.
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader.

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements.
- At least one (1) year's working experience using live chat.
- Bilingual, verbal and written.
Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships.
- Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Skilled in using a calculator, keyboarding, and ten‑key by touch.
