BMW of Arlington is seeking a highly skilled Flag Technician with advanced bumper-to-bumper diagnostic and repair experience to join our award-winning service team.
The successful candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the drive to maximize productivity in a fast-paced, customer-focused dealership. While BMW experience is a plus, we welcome technicians from other premium automotive brands who are eager to learn and grow with BMW.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems including engine, transmission, drivability, suspension, steering, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex bumper-to-bumper vehicle concerns utilizing diagnostic equipment, schematics, technical service information, and testing procedures.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify recommended maintenance and repair needs.
- Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommendations clearly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with service advisors and shop management to communicate repair status and technical findings.
- Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while delivering high-quality repairs.
- Stay current on evolving automotive technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), hybrid, and electric vehicle systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting challenging repairs and support fellow technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience.
- Proven bumper-to-bumper diagnostic experience with the ability to identify and repair complex vehicle issues.
- Experience in a dealership or highline/luxury automotive environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical diagnostics, drivability concerns, and modern vehicle technology.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and repair procedures.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Own professional automotive tools required to perform repairs.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
