The Philanthropy Analytics & Insights Director within the Philanthropy Operations & Performance team partners with the analytics team and Philanthropy Effectiveness department leadership to determine analytics needs and priorities. They will work collaboratively within the department and across Global Development, IT, and other functions to align analytics initiatives, foster best practices in data management, and generate insights that enable effective fundraising.
The Director will:
- Gather and articulate the department’s analytics needs, document requirements, and prioritize needs in partnership with department leadership.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, including in-house Global Development analysts and IT, to deliver on departmental reports and analytics outcomes.
- Guide and support the development and management of a new analytics governance team, partnering with Philanthropy Effectiveness, Global Development, and IT.
- Provide training and support to business users to drive the adoption of existing and new reports in platforms such as Power BI.
- Use curated reports, dashboards, and datasets to answer business questions and identify trends.
- Lead the Philanthropy Operations & Performance analytics team in leveraging existing reports and data tables to synthesize and package insights for various audiences, including senior leadership.
The Director must have (or quickly develop) advanced knowledge of key systems such as Power BI, Asana, Microsoft 365, BBCRM, and Workday. They will ensure strong cross‑organizational collaboration, support internal communications, manage vendor relationships, and reinforce consistency with organizational policies and procedures. The role provides business requirements for new analyses and reports, helps establish and track key performance indicators, oversees relevant training programs, and leads improvements to systems and tools.
They will cultivate productive relationships with teams and colleagues across the organization, including senior leaders and external partners.

- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience.
- Experience in planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities.
- Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience developing, managing and implementing multiple projects and strategic goals.
- Experience working across complex organizations.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams across multiple organizational levels.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures of business intelligence and data governance.
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $111,375 – $165,775. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
